With the baby-boomer generation graying, the population of older persons is rapidly increasing. To help keep these persons healthy, USC AgeWorks™ provides quality continuing education and information via the Internet and distance learning, geared toward health professionals looking to better their knowledge on how aging effects the mind and body. Via the internet, we strive to improve access to the necessary knowledge on how to provide improved health care for the aging population. Professions we intend to reach include: nurses and nurse assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, long-term care administers, rehabilitation counselors, dietitians, case managers, audiologists, and any other health professional dedicated to helping the elderly.
